Look Ma, No Needle!

Not only are these my very first cables, but they are done without a cable needle. I was amazed at how easy cables really are. For some reason they look all hard and complicated. All you do is drop 3 stitches off your left hand needle, knit the next three stitches, then pick up the dropped stitches and knit them like you didn't do anything different. Cool! Kind of like riding a bike, it seems a lot harder than it really is.

Congratulations!! They look great! I always thought that cables looked super complicated too and when I found out how they really worked I couldn't believe how easy they were :)

Hey, I'm also tagging you for an "8 Random Things" meme! You can find the rules and my own answers on my blog. I hope you'll play along, but no worries if you don't want to :)

they look awesome!
I'll try it next time.
I use a short double point for cables, the wood needle keeps the stiches from slipping for me.
